Hi Everyone, Here is some of that beautiful dye used on some yarn I spun for a rug I started weaving about 2 week ago. I am really impressed how well the yarn took the dye. I am weaving a rug for the entryway for our home. I am using a black cotton warp so it tones down the brightness of the color of the yarn a little and I hope it will hide some of the dirt that will be brought in form the outside. At least it sounded good when I thought about it we will find out when the rug is finished. I will keep you posted on the outcome of the rug and show you when it is done. Back to work I go!

Hi Everyone, Here is the new product it is dye for yarn or wool or any other animal fiber you can think. It is put out by Greener Shade and is environmentally safe it does not contain any harsh metals. I spun up some of our corriedale wool to try out the new product to see the colors and also that way I have a color record of the dyes. I like the dyes and the they are not hard to use they are and acid dye, that can be used with citric acid or just plain old vinegar. I tried both ways the citric acid and vinegar and found it easy to use did not have any problems using the dyes at all. |

Well we just increased our family by one!Yesterday we went to Grand Island and stoped at the SPCA and found Ginger there waiting for us to adopt her! She is a 7 year old Australian Shepard she is a red tri and I think she is wonderful. Just recently we had to put down a long time friend and member of our family due to very server allergies to fleas. Yes that is right Ellie was so allergic that she would chew her self raw and loss all her hair. Have you ever seen a bald border collie before it is not a pretty site at all. |

Here are the pictures are I promised I would post. The top one is where I had just finished winding on the warp. Doesn't look all nice and neat! I was so proud of myself and then I went to the next step where you are to bring it up and over the back beam. I had about 1/2 of the warp up and over when the middle sections started coming untaped from th stick they were placed on. Well lets say I had a few choice word to say rather loudly at the time it happened. this picture on the bottom is when I had most of tied up and was trying to untangle the mess. |

Hi everyone, I think fall is starting to arrive. For about thelast 4 days now when I get up to go help with chores andget Daniel ready for school it has been cool in themorning.Yeasterday it really felt like fall and when it is coolingthe morning I like to was my fleeces. I know it sounds funnybut in the summer time it is too hot to be working with hotwater and stand in the hot sun to wash fleeces. Especiallywhen the humidity is around 75% to 99% it just make for amiserable time to wash fleeces for me. |

You know when you are behind when you have to hire someone to help you get caught up! This is what has happened to me. My husband kept telling me I need help with the farm work and fiber mill, but I kept telling him I can do it. But really all I kept thinking was how can I do it all? I was always so tired by 5 o'clock all I could think about was how nice it would be togo to bed and never get up again! So yes I finally conceded toget some help. This week I have some people coming and helping me on the farm and in the mill. |

Hi Everyone! I thought I might give you an update on my loom mystery! Well I did finally found out what loom company made my loom and is Clement they are no longer making looms. And there are no spare parts to be found for my loom if I ever need to relpace any. But I don't think that is going to be a problem for me because it is in really sound shape. How I found out all this information is I was given an email address for a man known as the loomdoctor. His name is Tom Beaudet and repairs looms and has a lot of |
